After a devastating crash during the Suzuka Test last month requiring large scale overhaul and rebuilding, the Miku AMG is back and out on the track testing again, thanks to the hard work and diligence of our RS Fine mechanics.
Here’s a report from Sun on the 6/30 – 7/1 tire testing conducted at Fuji Speedway!
The Miku AMG is back!
We’d initially only planned on having one day of testing, (Thu) June 30, but unfavorable weather conditions only gave us an hour on the track…
So we followed up the next day with 3 hours of testing in the morning.
This is what the circuit looked like on Thursday…
That fog was something else.
Tatsuo Kataoka was our driver on Thursday.
And we also performed a shakedown on the New Miku AMG.
She went out and came back in just fine. Yep.
We were all relieved.
Road conditions on Thursday were sketchy, so we were unable to complete our testing and ended it at that.
But the weather was much better on Friday, so we were able to conduct more thorough testing.
We conducted the tire test as scheduled
and she performed very well! (^^)
The last thing we did on Friday was have driver Taniguchi perform a long-drive, and with that our scheduled testing was complete! 4 hours of testing over 2 days, with no troubles! And this week is the Suzuka Testing.
We’ll work hard to get everything in order for the next race. (^^)
